Can anyone help? I am trying to trace the birth of a relative and know he was 25 when he got married in 1891 but cannot find him in BDM registers on line. Does anyone know where else I could start to look for him? The 1901 census states he was born in Camberwell.

Registration was not compulsory then - approx 1866 - so you might not find any entry.

I am looking for Walter Sydney Kendrick. We know from his marriage certificate that his father's name was John.

Carol.... I can`t find a Walter Kendrick born Surrey 1866, in the 1901 or any earlier census...... could you please give all details you have on him...including wether wife was Ada or Ellen.
