Hi all, I've just spent hours on Ancestry (to which I subscribe) looking for someone in the 1881 census. Went on Findmypast for free and found it in the first search! Is Findmypast better than Ancestry, or was I just (un)lucky?

As the records were transcribed by two sets of people then you will get discrepancies.

I know what you mean, Glitter Baby, but neither had been mis-transcribed, it was just that the search facility on Findmypast seemed better...?
