Hi Im new and looking for help - I know that my mother had a child before I was born (when she was unwed) The child was adopted out - so I believe - my mother has never talked about it.

How would I locate birth records from NSW Sydney from around 1975 - 1980 I really dont have anything to go on - apart from knowing my mothers details which I assume would be held on the birth certificate records - I'am I right?? Some direction would be greatly appreciated.

Need help in some other areas too but will post a new topic

Many Thanks Rebecca

is the NSW bmd site
When you search the births, you can put in the surname and the mothers details
