Thanks Ian-but not gold or silver,just cheap and cheerfull(?) ,photographs not covered in any protective surface-but the frames are of twisted metal -thanks for your your help,

If they are gold or silver, the hallmark and makers mark will date them.

There is bound to be an internet forum devoted to them somewhere!

Sotheby's (and other auction houses) must be online.........they might be able to help if you e-mailed a photo and detailed description.

Try a decent auctioneer..........or a reputable jeweller. Not one of the 'chains'.........
