I ordered my OH's CEF papers last year. I cannot remember the exact cost - and you pay for postage too - but it was not that expensive considering the amount of info I obtained. |

Thankyou Margaret very much for taking the time to look at this for me. Felt rather sad that he died age 35 i was hoping there might have been some descendants for me to find! What an interesting website you have given me, and no i haven't come across john wyborn tart before but will look into it. |

I noticed a marriage in Winnipeg of William John Wyborn Tart in 1907. Could he be a relative of your Bertram? |

Oh yes, he would have been included even if he wasn't Canadian, simply because he fought in the Canadian forces. |

Thankyou very much margaret i will have a look at the website. Would he have been included on the war memorial as he was English not canadian? |

His name is not on the Canadian Virtual War Memorial so you can assume that he survived the war. |

I have discovered that one of my ancesters a Bertram richard Tart born in cressage shropshire 10/04/1885 was in the above force in ww1. I have found his details on ancestry , his attestation paper dated august 1915 and also details of his arrival in canada in april 1912. I am curious to find out more about him and wondered if anyone could tell me if its would be possible to get his service record. i have his regiment number.Thankyou |
