Try the local library, ours has our local paper on microfiche for the last 100 years or so and its free to view

It depends on the newspaper.

You can write directly to them and order an article in many cases, but there will be a search fee.

Can anyone tell me whether newspaper archives are online for the 1960's, there was a tragedy in my husband's family at that time that was reported in the papers and we would like to trace the reports??
