Do parish records have more info than certificates

Occasionally, burial records will give a clue as to relationships, e.g. "Mary Brown, widow of John Brown" or "Sam Smith, son of John Smith". Apart from this, death certs will usually give you more info than the burial register. As stated above, marriage entries (from 1837 onwards) give exactly the same info as on the certs. |

Depends where/when you're looking. |

Occasionally the burial record may give the age at burial, plus a comment such as "killed accidentally" or "found drowned' - that's what happened to a couple of my ancestors - but nothing more. |

Parish records of a marriage will be exactly the same as a full marriage certificate. |
