Unless she was divorced, or her husband died, she could not have re-married......not legally, anyway.

Hi Denise,

her birth certificate will only give you, birth name where and when born ,birth parent/s a birth mother(if single mum)
it wont help you find her death if she remarried,,,but could help find a possible matching birth year in the death registeres ,but she could have died anytime from 1914,,or live to old age, either as Mary O'Donnell or another surname,

When was she last known to be living?when did her husband die, that could possibly be more of a help.

If she died after 1984 you can do a search on birth date and first name only. If not you are going to have to look for her death each quarter of each year firstly in O'Donnell. You could also look for a possible marriage in the name of O'Donnell if you are not sure.

Hi Denise,

That could take a while to any search on,if she remarried and died in that name then thats the name she would almost certainly have her death registered under,
If she died as Mary O'Donnell then undertaking a quarter by quarter yearly search is very time consuming.and only could a near probable be found on such a common surname as Mary O'Donnell...you may need to get more information about her if you can to help you further,as you may have to buy many possible death certificates to get the right one,
