Wonder if this is Mary's birth, simply because of the unusual mother's name, same as Mary's daughter.

Trouble with place of birth on census is that sometimes the proper town or village is not given and the place where they are living is used.

Hi
I am trying to trace Hannah Maddock accoring to the 1851 census she is an Aunt of Mary Clifton nee Chew. The information from the census shows that Hannah was a widow aged 70 born in Manchester, Lancashire. I have been unable to find her on the 1841/61 census and cant find a death record for her, as was thinking her death record would possible give husbands name to help in finding marriage.
Mary's mother's maiden names was Lownds/Lounds so possible Hannah mother sister?

Any help in tracing her would really help in tracing her.

Thanks Karen
