Pam,I also came from Forest gate.He could of gone to St Bonaventures a boys school or what was called then(the school i went to)Whitehall.Whitehall was a very old school and had a playground on the roof.It was demolished in 1965 and a new one built that was called Forest Gate High.I should imagine the badges were the same as the one i had on my blazer all them years later. My uniform was green.I have a photo in my school blazer so if you can describe the badge i will look at mine.St Bons uniform was brown and a catholic school. I suggest that you google newham, for schools, for example St Bonaventures school has been there for 120 years close to forest gate....probably about 1.1/2 miles from romford road |

Thanks will have a look but don't think will be able to see what it is. If I could look at some emblems I could probably match them up with it though. Thanks again Pam |

I have a photo of my grandfather wearing his school uniform and I think it would be about 1910. The photo isnt particularly good. I am trying to find out which school he went to. Does anyone have any idea how I could find this out please. Thanks. Pam. |
