I think it could possible have been be a childrens home. and not a private dwelling in 1940 but this is what I am trying to find out .

The nearest you might get is via the electoral roll from just before and after the war years (nothing taken during the war).

This would tell you the names of elligible voters at the address but not those who were inelligible due to age or who were temporary residents.

There is an Upper brook street in Chorlton on medlock, which is near the university. Ardwick area

Chorlton cum hardy is near by.

These are two different places

Just trying to find 132 for you now.
