Looking for any relatives of the Rimmer or Molden family. John Molden was a pork butcher from Scotlnd Rd area. Jane Rimmer his daugher had a hand cart close to the Gem cinima ,off Hornby St .John Molden was originally from Bulware St Everton, but moved to Latimer St above a butchers shop. There was a large family ie lizzie Ann, Jane ,John ,George, Henry ,Annie,Maggie and Nellie. Sara Molden,Wife of John Molden, was said to have been in the Carmalite Convent before getting married. There were too many of them to just vanish. If you knew of this family please answer, or knock three times HA HA .Thanks a lot Margaret |

As you neglected to give any idea of time-scale, I thought it would be helpful to try to find out when these people were around..............is this one of them? |

Hi Reggi, This sounds like one of them. Do you know the first name of Elisabeth Rimmers mother? The information I have is John Molden and Sarah Ann Molden nee Lewis were married in St Saviours church Everton 6th aug 1893.She was 23 he20.Her address is ,60 Bulware st,same as his.I think this was his family home I am trying to find where she lived prior to this I think Elisabeth is a granddaughter of Sarah and John Molden The Carmalite Convent are trying to trace Sarah, but say she wont be on file if she wasnt there for long regards Margaret |

To find out the mother's forename you would need to purchase the cert. |

Thanks for the info Reggie and Jim, it dose fill part of the puzzle, but still no answer as to where Sara Ann lived before she got married.I dont think she had been married before, because she was only 23 and was said to have been in the Carmolite Convent before getting married .It must have been Sara Jones, the mother of Sara Ann Lewis who was married twice. So Sarah Ann Lewis must have been the only child in her mothers first marriage. Am i getting this right? The only other knowlege of Sarah Ann is she came from up country and her mother smoked a clay pipe. How on earth can i f ind out more about her and her father HELP Margaret |

A big thank you Jim in Soton I dont know how you do it,but im so glad you can The name has changed a few times since i started the tree. On my mothers marriage certificate her father war John Molden on his marriage certificate he was Molton further down the line the family were Moulton. Rumour has it they were of German decent and changed the name to avoid internment. I dont know if this is true,I suppose ill never know iv had so many problems sorting them out in this country I would probably end up in la la land finding them in another country Dont you think?
