all at Prescot, Prescot in 1861.
I just wish I could find Ann aged c15 in the 1851 census, but perhaps she and her husband-to-be were on some of the water-damaged pages. His mother and her husband and 3 of their children are in Salford. I have seen a copy of the page which was 're-constructed' by a FHS with blue light etc, with them on. There was enough there to enable me to say 'Yes, that is them.'

Her parents were William and Catherine. She married in Manchester Cathedral in Oct 1859 and she and her husband Arthur Crompton Bettany were on the 1861 census in Preston (I think, but cant find it on this site). Their first 2 children William Arthur and Ann Elizabeth were b in ..... oh, I have just realised it was Rainhill near PRESCOTT, not Preston. Ah well, back to the drawing board.

There is this one on Ancestry in the 1851 census. Is this the one you mean?

Do you have any record of her in later years?

My gt grandmother Ann Backhouse was b in Apr 1834 in Liverpool (Barter Lane). I have her on the 1841 census (film very faint, it is not on this website), but she is not with her parents and siblings on the 1851 census (film). There is an Ann Backhouse aged 14 in Preston, Preston on this site. I wondered if some kind soul would look at the image to tell me who else was in the household?
