Yes, there are Army Lists, and you wouldn't need to know the regiment, unless he had a common name and there was more than one. |

Is there any Free Index for Marriages in Calcutta (between British Subjects!)? The year is 1910. Is there an Army List for Officers serving in India at that time or would one need to know the exact Regiment? Perhaps Google might help? |
