I can be writing something and notice that nothing has come up but then I find it somewhere 'up there' in the middle of a word or sentence. I was told it might be dirt and cleaned the mouse but then I bought a new optical mouse and it's still doing it.
Anyone any ideas what causes this and what I can do about it?;;;;;
Got to go now but will look in later so please don't think me rude if you're kind enough to answer.
Many thanks
Jill

I get that Jill, and I use a laptop touchpad so no mouse to get dirty. I am guilty of eating while I use it and I can see a variety of 'bits' under the keys.......so may be caused by dirt.

I get that with my laptop too - it is something that seems to come and go. Was doing it yesterday but not today.

Laptops are great - but you cant pick up the keyboard, turn it over and give it a good thump to get rid of all the crumbs etc. lol

Every now and then I go over mine with the hoover - no, not an upright one! lol I found the little battery operated cleaners just dont have enough suck.

A while back mine was overheating - a chap I know unplugged it, picked it up and put his mouth over the out vent at the back - and gave a big blow. I was amazed at the great cloud of dust that came out.

Thanks Gail and Susan.
I can't get on with the pads at all but I have cleaned it with a mini hoover which is aupposed to be specific for the purpose. Didn't seem to do much good though. It's a nuisance as I''m a touch typist and can make enough mistakes without this!!!!!
Many thanks though
