looked at the map, and it makes more sense to get buried at tankersley. Need to keep checking.

hi there,
not sure about if he is buried with other family members, can't find the connection with scholes and the wood connection as he was single. Didn't they have burials at other places in high green and tankersley, not sure?

If you look at a map Scholes is just as close to Tankersley as High green so not very far, Is he buried with any other family members, could be that it was a family plot?

Hi folks,
having left Barnsley and not knowing the area very well, would anyone know why someone who died in a pit accident in Tankersley who lived in High green was buried in Scholes. I do have family connections with scholes. He was a single according to the newspaper article. Date 6th June 1914. Any help would be appreciated. Can't seem to find father and connection with my wood family of scholes, Just a bit of a mystery.
