uk to usa 1854

hi , i'm looking for 2 ancestors who went to usa in 1854 . i've tried castle garden and ellis island sites but no joy , can anyone recommend anywhere else for this time period please ? looking for frederick champ b 1834 east lulworth dorset and his brother francis b 1838 east lulworth dorset , thankyou , angela . ps i think i have fred in illinois on fam search but would like to try and verify and also find how he got there .

arrived 6 july 1854 ship name Christiania.
Port of Arrival New York.

Will look in a min to see if i can find them on census,

I think there's a bit of confusion here because on the 1880 census Frederick's wife is Frances, also born England.
Could the brothers Frederick & Francis who arrived in 1854 actually be man & wife Frederick & Frances? They had a son born 1855 in Illinois.

checked the immigration page and both Frederick and Francis were male

just found what could be Francis in 1860 in USA but can't find him after that.
