Does anyone know if this still exists or if it has become West Lancashire Register Office? |

Kate it was in Greetby Buildings in Ormskirk and i think it still is to register, sorry got no number, but if u try to google it sud come up, my son rang Preston last week for his and they were very helpful...best wishes Joanie |

According to Genuki, the records are now kept at West Lancashire. |

I was thinking that, Kath. With them being so little - they were either a year or three years old at death - I'm pretty sure one parent or the other probably registered them. |

Even if someone else registered the deaths (like a grandparent or other relation), I still think the father's name would be given in the "occupation" column. |

Have you checked the complete index for the deaths? I have had a look and the only deaths I can see in that area for a William and Elizabeth both in the same qtr. with the same page number is the one in 1852:- |

Oh, yes, I see what you mean now. I had assumed that you meant they both died together. (I know, never assume anything, LOL !!!!) |

I think you might be right, Kath. I've just rung up the register office and given them an either/or option about when they died, but I am inclined to go with 1852, as well. |
