Was wondering if anybody out there can advise me of any geneology websites that hold information on births, marriages and deaths that date back further than 1800 ??? Have looked at a few but none of them seem to go back very far. Cheers x

You could try googling OPC's for the appropriate county.

Not all counties have them, but it's worth a shot.

It really is going to depend on the area and how much has been transcribed.

There are Family History Societies with local branches all over the place. Some members may be studying the same places as you.

There are some parish records transcribed online. Do searches for names of parishes.

Some researchers have websites for whole communities and you may get lucky and find a relation linked to a well researched family.

I suggest you need to do a lot more looking on Google and on lists of sites like Cyndis list.

Try finding out as much as you can about the places you know your ancestors came from. Some local parishes wrote little history books for the Millenium.
