Gwyn, I agree, and I think it would be good if a Geographical help was included so that people prepared to do searches etc in their own area could pin a post on it. People offer such help at the moment but as you say threads tend to get lost.

Some time ago I offered to assist anyone searching for family members serving as aircrew who were lost on operations during the war 1939-45. This message would be buried among a host of others within a few hours. Would it be possible to have a "Help Board" on which members could offer services to others ?
This would have to operate on a charge-free basis but could be of
immense help to crack that elusive ancestor who has defied all efforts to be found. With a membership of the size of GR dozens of different fields must be represented.
Any comments ?
