Lyn, A long story but I eventually found my Lithuanian family by searching the Lithuanian phone directory and then writing letters to each and every one. Between a few of them they got my F H back to about 1870 but there the story stopped and they had no further knowledge. I tried the centre in Vilnius where they keep such records (P.Rs etc.,) and they tell me that there is something like a 3 year waiting list !!! |
