Thanks for the help peeps - now I have something to go on!

WH Smiths have them (ours is an average size). £2.99 for 100. They have a blue flash on the packaging and in small letters it says "acid-free". They look identical to the normal ones.

You can order them cheaply from W.H. Smith online (about £2.99p for 50).

They look like any other plastic pockets - I too was told by W.H. Staff they had never heard of them - but they were on the shelf. It says "acid-free" in very small writing at the bottom of the cover.

If you get through a lot of storage items like I do then Secol have a good range of museum and archive standard products. Sleeves come in packs of 50 so the initial outlay is expensive but they are reasonable value and good quality

I bought mine in WH Smith's. When I asked they said they didn't sell them but when I looked on the shelf there they were! Sometimes the staff have no idea.

Arrowfile do a good range as well.

You can get all items for certificates

Does anyone know where to get acid free storage for certificates etc?

All my local stationery shops (including a fair-sized WH Smith) deny all knowlege.

Or am I missing the point and ordinary clear plastic sleeves will do, even though they don't say acid free?
