my great-grandfather was called william woodcock,he married rebecca ann(formally cardell) in 1895 in sheffield. They had 4 children, william(my grandad),edmond, gladys and edwina.i know from his marriage certificate that his father was also called william and he was born in 1869.on the 1901 census he was not in the household and rebecca was the head,i know he was still alive as he was yet to have two more children and i have their birth certificates.as yet still havent found him on the 1881 census either.would love to find out if anyone else is familiar with these names. lucy from manchester.
