Contact the local library in the area of interest. They normally have photographic archives going back many years. Also local and national newspapers have photo archives too. You could also google local genealogy and family history groups and see what they have.

Hi all

I'm gradually finding out about my ancestors but it would be fantastic if I could get hold of some photos, there is no one alive in my family that I could ask. I guess I'd obviously need to look in the areas where my ancestors lived but where would I start?

can anyone give me directions please?
