LIZZIE STRIDWICK WATTS. Born c 1866 in Budock Water, Penryn in Cornwall. Second of 5 children to William and Ann Watts. In 1881 census registerd as living with family in Plymouth, Devon. By 1887 she was living and working in South Milton, Devon (I think at Horswell House as a needlewoman). In 1887 she gave birth to an illegitimate daughter, christened Emily Watts. The father was Edward Cuming Prettejohn. They never married and any trace of Lizzie Stridwick Watts vanishes after the christening. There are no records of her death being registered locally. The child, who was my great-grandmother, was raised by her father and paternal grandparents. Any help would be gratefully received!!!!
