Hello from New Zealand. This is a long shot, however thats why we join these groups. My gg grandmother was one Rachel Vincent, she married John Dixey in Victoria Austrlia in 1858. I am having trouble locating her birth and her parents marriage. Unfortunately a lot of what I know has been handed down over the generations. My family is led to belive Rachel was born mid Atlantic, app 1840. Her parents James Vincent and Isabella ( nee Blair) were heading for North America. I can find no entry anywhere for this event. Maybe I am looking in the wrong places. The only document I have is Rachels marriage certificate in 1858. Also if anyone is able to advise on her parents wedding. Do any of these details perhaps ring a bell with someone here. I sure hope so, and if it does I would appreciate hearing from you |
