I am trying to trace my grandfather's brother and descendants. My grandfather was Albert Vaughan born 1900 in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire. He had a sister, Minnie, born 1896 and 2 brothers, Harold, born c. 1901 and Arthur born 1899. Their parents were Samuel born 1871 and Lucy born 1872. Samuel was a potter placer in Staffordshire but later in life he and Lucy moved to Rhyl in Wales and had a boarding house. I believe that Minnie was disabled so she never married or had any children.

Harold married Alice (?surname) and they had Janet and Alan who I am told have both died. Nt sure if they have any children.

Arthur is the real mystery. He appears as a witness at my grandfather's marriage in 1930. (Albert married Millicent Cartlidge and they had my late uncle, Peter in 1934, and my father, Tim in 1938). However, when my father was growing up my grandfather would never speak of Arthur and it seemed that he was the black sheep of the family so something must have happened during the 1930s or early 1940s. I wonder whether it might have something to do with the war?

If anyone has any information related to any of the family I would be very interested.
