Looking for any info on this man...not sure wether he was born in the UK or Australia, but highly likely it was the UK.

Married Mignon Nicholson (1887-1968) in 1910 at Mosman in Sydney NSW Australia.

He died at Vaucluse in Sydney in 1965. Even today, Vaucluse is one of the most expensive and elite suburbs of Sydney..it has always been the home of the rich and famous...businessmen often resided there and still do.

Mignon was from the Nicholson organ building family. Her father was Louis Nicholson (1862-1945), mother was Annie Hoyte (1868-1931). Her grandfather James Charles Wilson Nicholson was born in Bradford in 1837. He came from the Nicholson organ building dynasty which originated in Rochdale, and spread to Bradford, Worcestor and other locations in the UK.

James came to Melbourne with his hew wife Diana in 1859 and went on to found Nicholson & Co, Musical Instrument Importers and Publishers.

Mignon's father Louis managed the Sydney store and they were part of the Sydney social elite...therefore she may have met Albert via her family's business concerns...Famous people from all walks of the arts and music industries, including overseas perormers, were common visitors to Nicholson & Co in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane...and also to the Nicholson homes.

Albert more than likely would have been born in the UK, have some kind of musical, publishing or business background and either emigrated to Australia or travelled here and then met Migon.

If anyone has any information or possible connection to this man I would be very grateful to hear from them.

Many thanks
Helen
