i am trying to find a Sarah Eggboro born around 1850 haven't got an exact date but Sarah had a daughter called Kate born around 1889 . Sarah married and she became a Symonds

On the 1901 it says she was born: Castor, Northamptonshire

This is the only female Eggboro I can find marrying in the right time period and not to a symonds, so it may be a second marriage.

Eggboro was Sarah's maiden name
They were both born in Peterborough as far as i know
Kate was her eldest child and Kate's dad was ilagitimate

Sarah later married an Alfred Symonds

So Kate should appear as Eggboro in birth registration? Have you got the birth cert?



I can find no marriage of a Sarah Eggboro to an Alfred Symonds - have you verified that marriage? Do you have the certificate details?

Sarah Symonds nee Jones is my great grandmother and her daughter Kate Eggboro Jones is my great aunt. Sarah was born in 1868 to Ellen Rowlett and John Jones. Sarah had two illegitemate daughters before marrying Alfred Simonds (marriage certificate however the family has used a number of different spellings over the years) The family surname is Symonds.
