Only just come across these replies to my posting Dec 2007 re 'Brennan's of Kilkenny'. I changed my email address and although I still my my Genes United account I haven't been on the site for ages.
Hoping that Janey and Erin see this.
Thanking you both for your replies and so sorry to take so long in replying.
It's info regarding the Thomas Brennan's that I'm still desperately seeking.
Thomas Brennan junior born approx 1880 would have been my gt. grandfather but after 13 yrs of research I haven't found any details of his ancestry, all I know is that he married Bessie Minna in Co Cavan 1907, they had 4 children but separated during the late 1920's.
My late fathers mother went emigrated to the US 1930 and it appears left my father with Thomas Brennan (junior), he was later fostered out to a family named McElhinney in Raphoe Ireland which is where I discovered the last address for Thomas Brennan. Although I'm in contact with Thomas's Brennan then wife (Bessie Mina's) her family knew nothing about my father. I'm hoping one day to make contact with Thomas Brennan's family descendants in the hope they can tell me more about his life and also discover more about my fathers life as a youngster in Ireland. Consequently any help/info would be fabulous. Kindest regards Jackie

New message to Janey

Hello, I've just noticed that you replied to a message I left Dec 12th 2007 regarding my gt grandfather Thomas Brennan.
Your'e reply just asks, 'what I 'd like to know re family'.
Do you actually have any info re Thomas Brennan or were you just offering advice?

Kindest regards Jackie ([email protected])

What is it you'd like to find out, Jackie?

Is it info about his ancestors, or his descendants? for starters. ;)

Thomas Brennan junior a travelling musican/ showman born approx 1880.
Married Bessie MIna Pool/Lenehan from Birmingham 1907, they had 4 children.
Thought to have had a brother in the priesthood.
Father was also Thomas Brennan a Land Steward of large farm in Kilkenny.
Thomas junior was in Raphoe late 1920's and 1930's but no idea where and when he died.
