Hi Reggie
I now know Edward was born 4th Feb 1803 baptised 6th Feb at Churchover Warwickshire Father Willim Ivins and mother Mary. I think William and Mary had various children - the earliest being Ann in Dec 1798 in Churchover but later children born in Clifton upon Dunsmore. A William Ivins married Mary Gregory April 12th 1798 . I have a record from Clifton upon Dunsmore which is to the memory of William Ivens who departed this life May 14th 1835 aged 59 years also Mary wife of the above who departed this life Nov 17th 1836 aged 64 years. I have found another William recorded as dying in Clifton upon Dunsmore May 7th 1834 aged 59 years and another Mary recorded as dying Sept 12th 1836 aged 66 years. Can you tell me is there any way of sorting out which William and Mary are the right ones? I feel I am one step away from connecting to the large tree of Ivens and the book that came with it which has wills, photos and family stories. Martin is the head of this tree and lived in Napton.
regards
Jackie

Yes, Martin born 1688. I now know Edward's father is William, I think of Churchover husband possibly of Mary Gregory and William's father is possibly Thomas.

Hi Reggie I found the posts after replying to you. Phew! what a lot of information, I am struggling to get my head round it all on one reading but I will be studying it in depth later and trying to link it to a large tree I was given years ago of the decendants of Martin Ivens and Mary Heggs/ Heys which came with a book about their family produced by Bev Blair. This brick wall has had me stumped for 20 years so thank you so much for all this information and I hope I can make some matches finally after all these years. Thanks again.
kind regard
Jackie
