Death ref help please

Hi

I have been given the following info but need the death ref details to obtain a cert. I live in NZ and would like to order online but found I need more info before I can order the cert for seven pounds.

The details are:

Parkes Edward 1884 - Sedgley West Midlands Dudley Register Office SEG/080/220. (Year 1884 as stated on widows remarriage). Widows name was Sarah Riley PERKS so if this is my man the name has been misspelt.

If anyone can help with the year qtr and ref I would appreciate it very very much. Hoping he is the right man.

Are you saying that Edward Parks was born or died in 1884?

Hi Deb

Going by his wifes remarriage she says she was a widow in 1884. I have been given these details which hopefully should be his death date year. If I can find out the ref nos/quarter and age I would like to try and get his death cert to confirm that it is him.

Just because she remarried in 1884 as a widow....doesnt mean he died in 1884!

When do you last have him as being alive?

I have looked at all 4 quarters of 1884 deaths....NO Edward Parks died that year.

The only Edward Parkes death in 1884 is
Edward Parkes aged 1.
Quarter 4 (oct nov dec)
Dudley 6c-50.

Thank you for the lookup. The person who gave me the reference didn't give an age so I wonder if it is this same one. Will have to keep searching for him.

Update:

Found out now that the age is incorrect for this ref so will keep on searching.

Hi I dont know if you have found Edward Parkes yet but I have started tracing this part of my family and my grandfather was Edward Victor Parkes from Walsall my mom is in her late 70's so this may make him the right age for the one you are looking for? and near the same area?

He married Ivy Gwendoline (Gibson?) still looking for other details at the moment
