(Completed) Marriage look up - Gillham & Ansley

Looking for a marriage between:

John William Gillham and Eliza Ann Ansley (nee Dadson)
Eliza was born in 1887 in Swanscombe, Kent, but I have no known birth for John.

I have a suggested time of 1916 for the marriage in Dartford, but no GRO ref... can't remember where I found the information before and haven't noted it anywhere. Found one child born to the pair on FreeBMD (Gwendoline Gillham b.1920 Dartford) but my nan was also their daughter Sylvia Joan Gillham b.1927)

Sylvia's birth cert gave me names of parent's but I am still unable to trace the marriage.

Have you looked on freebmd....some areas are transcribed up to about 1920

Thanks Steph, I knew I must of found it somewhere to get the date and where... just couldn't see it for looking. I had tried FreeBMD but couldn't find it at all.

Now I can send off for the cert, and see if I have the correct parent's for Eliza.

Hello,

I am aware some time has lapsed since your original posting but I wondered whether you know if Gwen Gillham was a member of armed forces during WWII.

I am asking because I have a photograph of a young lady (in uniform). On the reverse of the photo it is written Miss Gwen Gillham, 154 Transit Camp, Moustapha Barracks, Alexandria, Egypt.

The photograph was amongst some papers and photos belonging to my late father.
