The best way to proceed is to purchase Sydney and Ivy's marriage cert...it will tell you the names of both fathers......if known. |

Hi I am very new to this and have come to a halt. Cannot find record of birth for my grandad Sydney, I know he was born in 1900 and he was black. He married a Ivy Travill and they lived in Northampton, they had a son Gerald who is my dad, have not seen him for 46 years when I was 5. Unfortunalely he died in 1993. |
