Terry,

Lynda posted 6 years ago, and may not be active on these boards anymore. (She has no posts against her name).

You could click on her name and try to send her a message. If she still has the same email address then genes can notify her of your message.

Or you could start a new thread if you want help on here.

I am researching for a friend and he has a Carnaby Ansdell father of Mary Ansdell who married James Balls in Norwich. On the marriage certificate in1840 Carnaby is recorded as a Magistrates Clerk. This is earlier than 'your' Carnaby but may well be connected.... it's not exactly a common name.

yeah i had found him and another member here has that one on her tree as well ....... i guess as he wasn't christened till 1808 that could fit in better with us thinking his birth year was around 1811 at least that gives me something to work on .... ..... all my other relatives round that time all come from in or near lowestoft which is why this one has been confusing ..... so i'll check it out

thanks loads

Hello Lynda.

I have found what seems to be the only Carnaby Ansdell on the IGI. The son of William Ansdell and Frances Howell.

It says he was born on thr 20 Sep 1800 in Marylebone, but he wasnt christened until the 8 May 1808.
he had one sister, Maria Amelia born 22 Nov 1808 and two brothers, James - 12 Aug 1795 and Samuel - 20 Apr 1804.

William and frances Howell married on the 23rd Dec 1788 in Westminster.
