As Maxine didn't acknowledge the help she received 6 years ago, I doubt that she will see your post |

Hello, I don't know if you are still researching. My mother was a Wallington. Edmund Walter Wallington born 15.5.1805 was her Gt. Grandfather and Charles Walter Wallington born 1.1.1846 her Grandfather, he remarried in 4.5.1878 to Margaret Briggs. They had three children, Daisy, Lily and Rose Maud. Rose Maud was my Grandmother. |

There was definitely a Wallington+Duck household merger; in 1871: |

That's what I was thinking! That's the household I had a look at in 1861 -- it's just that the Walter is Walter G and 8 years old (checked the image, that's what it says). |

I guess you've tried the censuses! Lucky you -- son Charles wasn't at home in 1851: |

I believe Edmund was born around 1805 in the Hougham (Kent area). He later went on to marry Ann Smith. He worked as a commissioned boatman with the coast guard. I believe he had at least one child called Charles Walter born 1846. Any information you have on this would be greatly appreciated. |
