Sue, that's wonderful BUT please do two things

1 take your email address off your posting- its not needed.
2) click on the posters name and send them a direct message- if their email address is the same, your message will drop straight into their in box.

as long ago as this was posted they are unlikely to see your very kind offer

Many thanks to you both.
I have a sewing box that belonged to her and that's about all I knew.
I thought the name sounded Eastern European so I was on the right track. Now I will do a bit more research as to why these families were in the south east at this time. Its fascinating isn't it. Thanks, Carol

Hi again, This looks like Hanusha's Dad and her Grandad.
Guess Thad was working in his dad's shop, eh?

Cheers, Tom

Have you this, birth reg. details.
KELNER Hanusha Maria Edmonton.3a 165 2 1873

Could this be Thadden's marriage reg. details
KELNER Thaddeus Edmonton.3a 235 4 1870

1871 census gives Thaddeus age 22 and Elizabeth age 24 living at Campsbourne Road as they were in 1881

Doing a search on 1861 census for an Elizabeth age 14 born in Epping (as per 1881 census) gave a result of Elizabeth Forster and looking on Marriage registration index for Elizabeth married 1870 4th quarter in Edmonton gave a match for Elizabeth Foster. Chances are this is the same person

FOSTER Elizabeth Edmonton.3a 235 4 1870

This might be her birth reg.
Births Jun 1846
Foster Elizabeth Epping 12 102

Trying to find Hanusha who married my great grandad George Joseph Jeffries in Romford Essex in 1895.
Her father was called Thadden Kelner, a most unusual name. He was a green grocers assistant.
Any help would be great.
