Have you submitted corrections?

I've just seen all the messages about Stubbing Street, Hull. My gt grandparents William & Hannah Dry & their family lived at number 4 in 1871. Their name has been wrongly transcribed on ancestry.co as Dery.

Thanks Val, my feelings were that it was a different house. I don't know about you, but most of my ancestors back then seemed to only live at one address for a short while (maybe the rent man caught up with them!) think it was probable quite common to just move next door or down the street. Don't know Hull to well but do you have any idea were Stubbin St would have been? regards JAyne

Amazing isn't it? Well I at least now know they didn't live in Stubbins St in 1851. I have them on the 1881 census and could like to trace them back. In 1881 James was 49 and Ellen his wife was also 49. They are listed with 6 of their children, but I know there were more as my great grandfather is not there as he had married. If I can go back to 1871 it should give me the rest of the children. By the way didn't our ancestors move around alot. I don't think I've many relatives that were at the same address for 2 census dates! regards Jayne

Valerie, don't think we have any family connection but how fascinating that our ancestors lived in the same house! Wish I could go back in time regards Jayne
