My great grandfather was Henry warren...born in 1867 and died I think in 1900....he was married to Bessie Louisa dugdale and lived in marnhull....they had a son called archibald george who was my grandfather....does this mean anything to you?

Did you not see the 1901 details I put up. The marriage in 1894 seems to confirm that Henry is with Annie on the 1901, maybe divorce did happen between him and Bessie.

Thanks Rose - that could fit - just a quick question - do you know if in those days a couple were divorced and then a spouse died after - could the remaining spouse call herself a 'widow' on the census!!!! Clare Update Just had a rethink if Henry died in 1900 couldn't be married to someone else on 1901 census - seems I've got to sort out which is the right family!!!!
