Constance Parkhouse-help needed finding her after

She was born Exeter Devon,6.May 1915.She attended Newtown (Exeter) First school until 26/3/1920. Reason for leaving given was left district. (her Mum was ill and died 3 months later). Leaving her an Orphan. Has anyone any ideas how I can find out where she went. I've trie looking for marriages up to about 1950-and deaths for Constance Parkhouse-but no luck. As I have her sctual birth date I wondred if there might be somewhere it might show a death of someone with a matching birth? Any ideas at all please. |

Thanks very much-I suppose I shall have to work them all backwards-find marriages etc? then find their maiden names if maried and see if any of them don't seem to have a birth recorded in that name-Any one any other ideas of how? -otherwise see you all in about 2009!!! |

Of course, she could still be alive. Have you trawled all through the marriage indexes looking for a Constance Parkhouse marriage? Also, did any of her grandparents leave a will? If so, then she might be mentioned. And / or, did either of her parents leave a will naming a guardian for her? (Sorry I didn't answer on the 'Nottingham' thread as I can't think of any way to help with that one at the moment.) Kate. |

She may have been adopted so using another name for marriage if she did marry.. Have you checked for a change in info beside her birth ref.which suggests an adoption. Off course she could have just lived with a family relative and used their name without an official adoption. Margaret |
