Just started my husband's family tree and we have got stuck with William J Wills CHARLES.

He was born in Newton Devon and had a brother Henry Masters CHARLES and on the census it says he had another brother Job Charles (1851 census I think) Could this be your family? The name Henry Masters CHARLES is quite unusual I think. DAtes are very close too.

CHARLES - I am researching the CHARLES family originating from Newton Abbott, Devon. I would be interested to hear if anyone has any information which might assist me to discover why my g.g.grandfather (John Reach CHARLES b.1838 Newton Abbott)moved to Leeds between 1860/70. His brother (Henry Masters CHARLES)followed and settled in Leeds also. Does anyone have any information on William and Catherine ALLMAN (ALMAN)both born in Ireland c. 1798. Children: William; Jane; Catherine and Thomas. I don't know which part of Ireland they originate from and would be grateful for any information. I understand the family had a lodging house in Leeds in the 1850's. Many thanks. Dee Horsley
