Trying to find McAllister

I am trying to trace anyone who knows Michael Patrick McAllister. The only clues I have, and they are vague to say the least - are that he was born in either Scotland or Ireland, he served in the British army during the second world war, possibly in the Tank Regiment in Salisbury or Aldershot. He would have been born around 1916 at a guess. His nickname was Mac (like all of us I guess ! !). Thanks for your time in reading - any other McAllister want to drop a line and say hello, feel free ! Take care
