Find Ancestors

I am trying to trace any person who is or has been called Spittle or Sawyer and thinks they may be related in some way to me. I am trying to work out my family tree and have asked my father but he cant go back any further than his own parents Samuel Spittle from Rotherham and Florence May Sawyer birthplace Bedlington Newcastle. Can anyone help please? My dad is an only child but say's that his mum adopted a boy whilst she still lived in Newcastle the boy's name he thinks is Teddy and he would like to get in touch with him if possible. He is also keen to get in touch with any of his relatives from either side of his family. His mother was married two or three times the married names I know of are Fulloon (we think her adopted son went by this name also), Foers and in her later years Marriott. She never married my grandfather Samuel Spittle but lived with him as man and wife until he died in 1969.My dad's name is Peter and at the time of his birth (1954) they lived in Shaftesbury Square Rotherham. any info please get in touch by email,a message on the boards (I check them daily) or phone me 01709 769742
