I am interested in any EVANS with connections in the North East of England and Trealaw. My maternal Great Grandfather was Alexander EVANS, he was born in Port Talbot ABT 1856 (died 1944). He seems to have moved to the North East of England in the 1870's (a lot of Welsh people there working in the iron/steel industry). He married Mary Ann in Stockton in 1875 so presumably her family was also working in that area - she was born in Aberamon ABT 1857 (died 1923). They had at least 7 children. Thomas Henry EVANS born APR - JUN 1977 in Stockton. Ezekial D EVANS born 1879 in Stockton. John EVANS born 1883in Hartlepool Alexander EVANS born 1885 in Hartlepool Benjamin EVANS born 1887 in Hartlepool Llewellyn EVANS born in 1890 in Hartlepool. Elizabeth EVANS born in 1893 in Hartlepool. My Grandmother. They seemed to have moved to Trealaw in 1912 and might have lived at the same house in Trealaw Road at least through WWII. Elizabeth EVANS might have married a THOMAS jsut before WWI. My Grandfather was Thomas Thomas PARRY / Thomas Ellis PARRY. They had one other daughter (Myrtle), apart from my mother, born in 1919 in Kenfig Hill. I don't know what happened but the family seemed to split up around the 1920's - my mother was brought up in North Wales and her sister stayed in South Wales. I suspect that Elizabeth might have died but I have not been able to find out any details. With such a large family I am sure there must be descendants of some of the other children around somewhere.
