Trying to find Lavis

I'm trying to trace the father of my grandfather. All I know is that his name was Charlie, we have no record of his surname. He was engaged to my grandfather's mother, Ellen Lavis, who was pregnant, but he was killed in an accident just before their wedding which would have been in 1901-1902. My grandfather's name was Henry (Harry) Lavis and he was born in 1902 in London so Charlie would have been born around 1875-1880. If you have any idea what his surname would have been or maybe any of his relatives I'd really appreciate any info.
