in reply to Jacqueline Clarke's enquiry re the Clarke's of Manchester. I dont know if this is the same clarke family or not, but my natural great-granddad was called Joe Clarke, and he would probably have bn born around the turn of the century. His brother (david?) was the father of Alan Clarke of the Hollies, and I have been trying to find links to this part of our family. Are we connected do u think? the family lived in the Salford area of Manchester and Alan Clarke's cousin is Amy Bruce (watson by marriage) who lives in Burnley Lancashire. Please let me know if u can. |
