Any record of American/British relatives of Samuel Stanley Thorpe( Master Printer)born 1838 Barking Essex,had two sons in the USA Samuel b.1873 and Frederick b.1875 by Mary Ann Thorpe(born Nova Scotia),all moved back to the UK approx 1880, married again in London to Annie Ford, moved to Ware,Herts,had three sons :Harry ,Alfred and Percy.Before coming to the UK, Samuel fought in the American Civil War for the North,Union(Yankees),son Percy's middle name is Ludlow also a town near Boston Massachusetts.Samuel apparently had a printing works maybe in Boston which apparently burnt down. Would like to hear from any relatives of the above especially the American connection.....
