Trying to find Mitchinson

I am looking for any information about my gg grandmother Clara Mitchinson/Mitchenson, b.1832, in London. Parents Bryan and Mary Mitchinson (nee Trapp). Bryan Mitchinson (or even Mitcheson??) was born in Sunderland, Co. Durham, about 1780. Clara married James Smith, a master baker in 1857 also from London. She was an actress who appeared at the Adelphi and the New Surrey Theatres, amongst others. Her brother William was also a stage performer. I have now been able to track the Smith/Mitchinson family throughout the censuses from 1851 to 1891. They moved around in London, from Tavistock Square, Drury Lane, Lambeth and Whitechapel. Clara died at her daughter's home in Beckenham, Kent in 1898. I am still looking for any more info about the family, but this is difficult as the descendants were all Smiths! |
