Trying to find Kilcoin

I'm interested in finding anyone related to us. I know most people still use the Irish spelling 'Kilcoyne', I'd like to find out when our name was anglicised. My father, known as Shaun but named Charles Shaun Kilcoin was born in Bournemouth in 1942 and his father was called Plunkett Kilcoin. Plunkett died 3 years ago.
