Trying to find any Rosiers who came from the Bury St Edmunds/Suffolk area.My grandmother was Gertrude Rosier born 1883 in Hartismere/Mendlesham and her family lived in Bury St Edmunds. She had two brothers George Arthur born 1880, Charles Edgar born 1888 and two sisters, Doris Kate born 1891 and Edith May Born 1895. Her fathers name was Arthur John Born 1856, living in Ipswich when he married, mothers name Gertrude Rush. My grandmother lived most of her married life in Derbyshire and married Thomas Arthur Stevenson, I know one of her brothers lived in Nottinghamshire and some of her family still live in Bury-St-Edmunds but I don't know where. I was told when young that my grandmothers great great grandfather was Jean Francois Pilatres De Rozier the French Balloonist, I can't find any information about his family only about the balloon flight. My grandmothers grandfather was George Rozier no d.o.b. I would be grateful for any information on Rosier/Rozier that lived in Suffolk. I have hit a brick wall on my Rosier/Rozier and tried lots of different sites only to draw a blank.
